About

I build landing pages for small and medium businesses. Usually the people who come to me already have a site, but feel it would suit any business at all if you swapped the logo. So the work is not just rearranging it: it is building the page from the start around what your business sells and who you are trying to reach.

What I hold to

The numbers I show are real ones
Every example on the Work page shows its actual measurements, including the ones that fall short of my target. Where I have never measured something, I say so rather than guessing.
Fast first, decorated second
Animation and effects are the easy part. Keeping a page quick to open on a weak signal is the hard part, and that is what I settle first.
Usable by people unlike me
I try every page without a mouse, and with the screen readers people with sight loss actually use. If it falls apart there, it is not finished.

How I work

  1. 01

    A conversation first

What you are aiming for, what content already exists, and whose sites you like the look of.

  2. 02

    Look & words

I structure the page while writing its text, because each one decides the other.

  3. 03

    Built & tested

The site gets made, then I measure how fast it loads and try it without a mouse before sending it.

  4. 04

    Launch, then support

It goes up on your domain, and for forty days after, small adjustments are still on me.
